Weird Coincidence

So...... There is this guy named Rhys, from England, who stayed in our hostel a few months ago, but who now has his own apartment and teaches English in Buenos Aires. Several people at the hostel recommended that we contact him to get advice about teaching English in Buenos Aires. So I called his home number last night. However, another guy (Andea) answered the phone and said that Rhys no longer lived there. We kept talking for a while, and it turned out that the owner of our hostel (they are friends) had told him about us: that we were two Canadian girls who had just arrived in Buenos Aires and were "very beautiful". So Andrea decided that he wanted to meet us and told us he would walk to our hostel in twenty minutes!!! We agreed out of curiosity.... So he showed up and we started talking. He is a photographer from Italy who has traveled all over the world. He gave us a lot of good advice, and then we ended up taking a long walk and having dinner. The restaurant ( funnily enough, called "club eros") reminded us of a soup kitchen: it was messy and full of people, some men didn't even have their shirts done up!! and you could see this gym with people playing volleyball through the glass wall.....we're not sure what this really was.... but the food was amazing and incredibly cheap!!! So we now have a new friend and a new hangout spot.... purely by accident. Weird how these things work out, eh??? Tova and Alice
